Mind Over Matter

Yesterday, while my friend was yet again procrastinating and still managed to message me consistently, I asked him something out of the blue and as usual, he answered me with his inner Confucius spirit.

Me: Do you think life isn't life if you have no one hating on you?
Chandra: Absolutely!  Think about it. There are only two reasons why people might hate: jealousy or fear. If it's cause of jealousy, then obviously, you're doing something they only wish they could do. If it's cause of fear, then you're doing something that they are unfamiliar with or frightened of. We're only frightened of what we don't know, so really you're doing something they don't know. Something new, something unexplored.

I think it's very normal if someone doesn't like you. There will always be that 1% or more, who will constantly try to bring you down but you should always remember that there's still a huge percentage left; a multitude of people who will always be there for you no matter what. Keep that in mind, so don't let yourself get affected with other people's opinions/thoughts of you.

A few things to ponder upon:
  1. A ship won't sink unless the water gets in.
  2. Use the people who want to see you fail as motivation to do better.
  3. Other people's opinions of you don't define who you are.
  4. There will always be someone better but you should know that you're one of the best in some other ways (maybe you aren't just aware of it/them).
  5. You're extraordinary so they are either jealous or afraid because they can't be you.
If you have someone hating on you, you're just living your life right. Life will always have obstacles we have to face. If someone's trying to bring you down, don't mind them. Our mind is a very powerful controller so if you keep believing in yourself, then all the roads will lead to success & contentment. As my blog post's title goes, MIND OVER MATTER.

Focus on yourself, the people who are there for you, and think positively! I'm not trying to say that you should go all optimistic but I'm trying to say that you should not let the negativity bring you down. Try to fight it as much as you can. There's no harm in trying after all. And lastly, just be yourself and don't try to change yourself just for the sake of other people.

Stay focused and don't let others bring you down.

All the love as always.

Also, massive thanks to my friend! Wouldn't be able to have this post if it weren't for your words!

On The Road Again Tour: MANILA

Just had to try editing something for this blog post, aha!
It's been two months since OTRATMNL happened & it's only now that I got to write/post about it. I can't express how happy I am that Filo directioners, myself included, got to experience such an amazing concert! I am a thousand percent sure that the boys brought tears to each and every directioner out there and same goes for those who were just "Team Bahay". DJ KC was quite the opening act, honestly! Such a friendly & amazing guy, I tell you.

Yes, DJ KC retweeted my tweet!!!

Reminiscing the memories my friends and I shared before, during and after the concert is just way too emotional for me right now. What is the "moving on" phase? Because I'm pretty sure all the fans won't be getting over the concert anytime soon or at all actually.

As early as 3AM(?) or so my friends and I were already waiting outside the concert venue along with the other parents, their kids, and all the other directioners who camped out earlier than us. We all had to endure the (very) long hours of waiting and the extreme heat (despite the fact that the security team was showering/spraying us).

The guy from E-PLUS Team who tapped my card

Parents, as well as the fans, were all too tired and we all looked haggard when we got to pass this part of the concert venue. We headed to the road and lined up for the section we're supposed to go in.

Just a bit of the fans who lined up for Gold section

Event Security Team who did a great job keeping everyone and everything safe and sound, thank you and well done!

After several minutes, we managed to get in!! *insert happy dance here*

As we searched for our seats, I can't help but think of how long we've waited for the boys to go to Philippines and realize that, that night we were finally going to see our sunshines! We waited for another few hours for the concert to start and I can say that all the sweat, the money we all spent, the weariness, the sleepless nights; they were all worth it!

To sum up the experience I've had, it was perfect! I made new friends and I can say that 21st of March will always have a place in my heart. It was actually one of those moments where you just have to live in the moment; enjoying every minute you're spending and that's what March 21st is for me - PURE BLISS.
Again, sorry, I know this post is long overdue. So...
All the love as always. J x
